Overview

Whitefish Mountain Resort contains 4 main skiing and snowboarding areas – The Frontside, Backside, East Rim, and Hellroaring Basin. With terrain that covers every aspect, you can rest assured that there is high quality snow somewhere under our lifts no matter the day! 

Most beginner and intermediate areas are found on the front and back sides. Hellroaring Basin boasts extensive off-piste skiing on technical terrain and East Rim is home to the most aggressive terrain on the mountain, located directly beneath Chair 5. The Front Side is home to the longest sustained groomers. Whitefish Mountain Resort is located just north of Whitefish, MT in the idyllic Flathead Valley.

Mountain Activities

While skiing and snowboarding at Whitefish Mountain Resort are the most popular experiences, there are many other outdoor activities available within the greater Whitefish area including backcountry skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. You can also explore hundreds of trails by snowmobile, take a sleigh ride, or go dogsledding with the family.

Services

When skiing Whitefish Mountain Resort, you will have access to fine eateries and apres-ski right on the mountain. The Summit House Restaurant provides incredible views and offers dinner on Moonlight Dine and Ski nights (near the full moons in January, February, and March).

Whitefish Mountain Resort also has a shuttle service (aptly named the S.N.O.W. Bus) that provides easy access to downtown whitefish where even more shopping and dining options await. 

There are ski and snowboard rentals and repairs available in the Base Village and Base Lodge, as well as lessons for all ages. With the Kids Center, you know your kiddos are in good hands with a great daycare facility and instruction to get little ones introduced to snowsports.
