Details:  Fun Fun and more fun for everyone is what this festival is all about. The Winterfest activities usually take place in late January or early February of each year.  A day filled with winter activities, on the snow fun, music, races, contests, and free rides.

In conjunction with activities sponsored by the Lakeside Chamber of Commerce, there is something to do for everyone – from fun on the Mountain to fun in town. During the Winterfest, the lift tickets are sold for a reduced rate and everyone is encouraged to try out this small, unique ski mountain. This mountain is best suited for beginner to intermediate skiers.

The most unusual aspect of Blacktail Mountain is that the lodge and parking facilities are located at the top of the mountain. So, you can begin to enjoy the fantastic views the minute you get out of your vehicle. Blacktail Mountain offers a fantastic view of Flathead Lake. It is located between Missoula and Whitefish but is only open Wednesday-Sunday for day skiing.

The nearest town is Lakeside, Montana which is located on US Route 93.
